the IO did put “-“ after the word “violation” and another “-“ after “fine”. I think it’s to say no violation and no fine imposed.

I wasn’t asked to leave the country but I left on the 24th Sep. Came back with the DTV on 5th Oct. Cancelled my extension of stay today (18th Oct). So, the immigration simply looked at my departure date from Thailand which is on the 24th of Sep, then stamped it today saying ED is expired on the 24th Sep. No “violation.” I don’t think it’s an issue. A friend of mine who cancelled his ED - extension of stay first, then got a DTV also received the same stamp with a different date

I am not sure. Some people said we can let it expire by itself without needing to cancel. Some also said we still need to cancel the extension of stay. Else, it could become an issue when we come back into Thailand with another type of visa and need to ask for extension again. I was torn between these two as well.

Arkar Hein no. walk-in was still available when I applied last month.
