When you come over on a non O-A you don’t need any money in Thailand, you prove you have the money requirement in you home bank.

Just before your visa expires you can leave the country and get stamped back in for a year’s extension. At that point you can start the 65k+ a month or choose to do the 800k.

No I didn’t, at that point I pulled out all my other proofs. That Irish PAYE return was clearly absolute bs but they kept insisting on one despite me telling them. Then they got someone else to look over all my documents and proofs and eventually I got the extension. They were very interested in the bank book showing FTT transfers, something which seems likely is no longer available. This is why I just want to produce the letter and to confirm that it is still a viable way to get the extension in my case.

Crazy right, it’s a tax return that someone before me must have baffled them with. Because it had a lot of numbers on it ‘must have mister’ and my legit letter was dismissed.
