TLDR : Answer Summary
You can apply for an extension of your Non O-A visa at Chonburi Immigration up to 30 days before its expiration. However, it's important to know that the extension will typically start from the date your current visa expires, not the date you submit the application. Additionally, normal procedures allow applications between 30 days to 45 days before the expiration. It's advisable to confirm details directly with the immigration office for any specific circumstances or recent changes due to the amnesty.

The expiration date of the VISA <- the sticker itself means nothing.

It's the expiration date of the year entry stamp you got FROM using the visa to enter the country. It's that small blue rectangular stamp that lets you stay IN thailand.

You can apply for a yearly extension of stay at MOST immigration offices when you have 30 days or less left on your current entry stamp. The extension will be dated for a year from the day your current stamp expires SO going early doesn't make a difference. .

keep in mind at most offices IF you have a stamp that is expiring between now and when the current amnesty runs out (Sept 26th) people are getting their extensions dated from the 27th of Sept (starting the day after amnesty expires :O )

Do you mean for the OA 2nd year that you can 'normally' get over the border? Or a whole new visa? ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ

No, I have done that before, just an ordinary yearly extension.

In normal circumstances/times the extension would begin at the end of your current permission to stay, but there have been reports of extensions starting from Sept 26th the end of the amnesty.
