Are income affidavits (from countries that still issue them) still being accepted for visa extensions at your immigration? I`m particularly interested in the Chonburi.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the acceptance of income affidavits for visa extensions in Chonburi, Thailand. One commenter notes that if an embassy issues an income affidavit, that must be used, rather than monthly income statements. Additionally, there are concerns about the refusal of previous documents and changes to financial services like Transferwise, which could affect income proof reliance.

The reason I ask is that they refused my letter for my last extension and I had to prove my income using other methods including my bank book transfers noted as FTT via Transferwise. Now it seems Transferwise are no longer providing this service to long time expats in Thailand.
I have no problem providing that but one of the proofs is a FTT notation in my bank book to indicate international transfer which it appears I can no longer get from Transferwise. Hence why I wondered if just the letter was acceptable.

Using the income method (which requires using TransferWise) is different then submitting a letter from your embassy saying you make a certain amount of money each month.
Exactly, I just wanted to produce the letter as proof but they made me produce a lot more including the bank book. I also produced a letter from the bank with all my international transfers listed.
If you have the letter from the embassy, they shouldn't be asking for the bank book and international transfers. When they asked you for that information, did you make it clear you are using the embassy letter method?
Crazy right, it’s a tax return that someone before me must have baffled them with. Because it had a lot of numbers on it ‘must have mister’ and my legit letter was dismissed.
No I didn’t, at that point I pulled out all my other proofs. That Irish PAYE return was clearly absolute bs but they kept insisting on one despite me telling them. Then they got someone else to look over all my documents and proofs and eventually I got the extension. They were very interested in the bank book showing FTT transfers, something which seems likely is no longer available. This is why I just want to produce the letter and to confirm that it is still a viable way to get the extension in my case.
Benjamin I entered on an Irish passport, the only nationality I have ever held. I had a fully legit letter from the Irish embassy for which I paid 1500baht and provided all my income proofs to get it.

What is a fully legit letter? Does this letter say that you make 40K THB a month (marriage/ raising half-Thai children)/ 65K THB a month (retirement) for the relevant one year extension of stay?
Yes it lists all my income in excess of the 65k minimum required.

If your embassy issues income affidavit you have no option but to use that method. You can't use monthly income if the affidavit is available. No option but monthly or annual income for UK

You cannot use monthly transfers to Thailand in that case, but you still can use banked money in Thailand.
