I've got the 1 yr non-o based on over 50 (retirement)

I have my first 90 day report in February, I know it can be done online, is that the case for the first 90 day report?

I heard it wasn't allowed, and needed to be done in person.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The first 90-day report for a Non-O visa must be done in person at the immigration office, although it can also be completed via mail or by a proxy if someone is able to go at the right time. After the first report, subsequent reports may be done online if certain conditions are met.

If you dare to go on holiday then you can't do it on-line but must attend in person. It doesn't matter that you have lived here 20+ years; or have a multiple re-entry permit; or the you have filled in the irrelevant TDAC waste of time & resources; or that the information has been completed 3 times this year already; or that most of the information hasn't changed in DECADES. Thai Immigration wants a small forest cut down to feed their paper re-cycling programme. Vietnam is looking more and more inviting.

You don't have a one year Non O

No such animal.

You have a 12 month extension of your permission of stay (permit).

The first extension needs to be done in person (or someone on your behalf) or via Mail.

In person/agent can be made in window 15 days prior and up to 7 days after due date.

Via mail do that 15 days prior.

no. You do what you want, and if people cant discern the right type of visa, it's not my problem.

6 people including you answered the question. One said thats not right.

When six say thats not right and one answers correctly. Then I will worry about.

And as my visa is stamped NON-O and my IO uses the phrase retirement, I dont care what you guys call it.

What's the 12 month extension of permission to stay based on?

@Peter ******
the same reason the Non-O was issued which makes it a retirement extension, see, you understand ;)

6 people including yourself answered the question based on my wording.

My passport screams Non -O, my IO uses the phrase retirement, when I ask at immigration helped esk they use the phrase retirement

So im going to go with Non -O over 50 (retirement) that way at least it keeps it consistent with Immigration, who i think you will agree are the most important element in all of this.

just accept it is incorrect and confusing to others looking for information

I have a NON -O based on over 50 ( retirement) which is extended, every year until the day I decide to not extend.

The Visa is still a NON-O.

Using the phrase extension of stay tells you nothing about the visa.

If I said I have an extension of stay, what paperwork do i

Need to renew for another year.

What's the first question im going to be asked?

Answer, what visa do you have?

If the IO uses the phrase retirement visa, then so do I.
