I can’t see on my DTV visa where it says 90 day check in etc

Can someone show me where I should see the 90 day check in? Will I see on my passport? Or will I get another email when I enter the country?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 90-day check-in, also known as 90-day reporting, is a legal requirement for foreigners staying in Thailand on long-term visas, including the DTV visa. This check-in is not indicated on the visa or entry paperwork. Instead, you must count 90 days from your entry date to determine the reporting due date, which must be completed at a local immigration office either in person, by mail, online, or through an agent. You can report within 15 days before or 7 days after the due date. Failing to comply may result in fines.

Your arrival date + 89 days = the due date of your 90 days ( calendar days )

They won't tell you when . Because we don't know when is your entry date and when you are planning to come Thailand so it depends on your arrival ka.

Simple like that...

Yet : you can report that 15 days before the due date up to 7 days after the due date with no problem or fine .. so the time is flexible. To your convenience

In Thailand, the 90-day check-in (often called 90-day reporting) is a legal requirement for foreigners staying in the country long-term. Here’s a clear breakdown:

🇹🇭 What It Is

If you’re staying in Thailand for more than 90 consecutive days on a non-immigrant visa, retirement visa, marriage visa, education visa, or work permit, you must report your current address to Thai Immigration every 90 days.

📅 When to Report

• You must report within 15 days before or 7 days after your 90-day period ends.

• The 90-day count starts from the date you first entered Thailand or the date of your last 90-day report.

🧾 How to Do It

There are 4 main ways to complete your 90-day report:

1. In Person –

Go to your local Immigration Office (e.g., Chiang Mai, Bangkok, Pattaya, etc.).

Bring:

• Passport

• TM.6 Departure Card (if still used — some airports stopped issuing them)

• TM.47 Form (90-day reporting form)

• Copy of passport info page, visa page, and latest entry stamp

2. By Mail –

Send the TM.47 form, passport copies, and a self-addressed stamped envelope to your Immigration Office at least 15 days before the due date.

3. Online –

You can report online here (for eligible visa holders):

• Must use a Thai IP address

• Can be done 15–7 days before the due date

• Works only for subsequent reports, not the first 90 days

4. Through an agent –

If you use a visa service or legal firm, they can usually handle the check-in for you.

🚫 If You Miss the Deadline

• Fine: 2,000–5,000 THB, and may increase if caught during an inspection.

• Repeated or severe violations can cause visa issues.

🧠 Good to Know

• Leaving Thailand resets your 90-day count upon re-entry.

• The 90-day report is not a visa renewal — it’s only an address confirmation.

• If you change your residence, you must also report it within 24 hours (TM.30 form).

Unless you leave the country before your 90 days and get a new stamp border or otherwise. Then no report is required.

You won’t it’s called gained knowledge of the Thai immigration system

But you will need a tm30 before you do a 90 day report

If you can’t manage a 90 report you can spend <89 days every single time in Thailand for the next 5 years

Good luck

It doesn't say it on the visa or anywhere else on your entry paperwork. But now you know 😃

Nothing to do with DTV. Most foreigners have to report, regardless of visa

You don’t see it anywhere the responsibility is on you to report

It starts from the day you enter (stamp in your passeport).

You just count 90 days from when you enter and report at your local immigration office
