PTPA. Hello everyone, maybe someone can help me here. I worked here in the Thai Oil project (cfp) in a subcontractor Korean company under UJV,

UJV withdrew the project because it did not pay wages.

Now that I have been hired by a new company, our problem now is that the work permit of my previous company can not be canceled because there is no one authorised to sign the clearance, the two managing directors have both resigned. our company already has a case with the Thai labor office. Does anyone here know what other way to cancel my work permit even if there is no clearance from the previous company?

Thank you very much. I hope someone can help me here.

What happens if you have a few more months of 1-year non-b employment visa, and you quit your job but notify no one about it???

(Also now with the covid situation )

I have a question regarding extension of stay based on employment and social security contributions

If a foreign employee is temporarily unemployed (due to covid) and as such is entitled to social security unemployment benefit , should social security payments by the employer cease ? seems if you cease payments then the extension of stay may not be granted ?

Hello everyone.

I need some help with my Visa situation. I am currently on a Non b Visa which is due to expire on 8th June however the amnesty program lets all foreigners stay in Thailand legally and legitimately until 31st of July. The school that previously helped me procure my non b had to terminate my contract in March and with the COVID 19 situation finding a job during April and May was nearly impossible. Now I'm beginning to get some job offers and I see new opportunities but this situation with my Visa is hard to comprehend. Will my previous employer have to cancel the non b I earlier obtained?

Do I need to apply for a new one or may I get an extension on the current one?

If so can it be done in Thailand or do I need to return to India?

Going back to my home country (India) would be the least preferable Option since coming back will be tough.

Please help with your advice/recommendation.

Thank you šŸ™

Visa related question, if a person is employed on a non b but has been laid off during the corona (covid 19) . For which they are or will be collecting SSO payments over next say 180 days. What is the visa status? Currently does not expire until October.

Hi! Not for myself, but for a friend in a bit of a sticky situation:

My friend has worked for one month at a school and has now decided that for various reasons the school is not a good fit for her. She has found another job and wants to leave her current job without notice immediately, in order to leave the country and apply for a new non-b and WP3 for the new job.

She was under the impression she is on a probationary period at school where either party can terminate the contract at any time (up until 3 months, which she as not worked).

Her (current) school are now threatening to get her "blacklisted from immigration" (their literal words, I assume they mean the country) if she does not continue to work for them.

She is currently on a non-b (not extension), and was planning to have her work permit and visa cancelled tomorrow in order to leave on Thursday.

Is it possible for the school to get my friend blacklisted for quitting her job? The language of her contract is more ambiguous than originally thought but it does still state that there is a 3 month probationary period.

Have my initial 90 non B Visa and work permit for a language school.

We didn't mesh well enough.

What should I plan for/expect Visa wise?
