How can I cancel my old visa work permit if my ex-employer won't provide my documents?

Canceling old visa work permit book.

Ex employer not giving me my book or documents as

Requested now for weeks.

Even when a lawyer has been engaged they got no where

Can i cancel myself.

I have  extended the non.b visa for 7 days.

I have a new employer.we cant do new visa till its canceled. 

How to make this issue better.any advice.

Sorry for your experience also.

I just got sorry excuses.i dont work for free..and yes spiteful yet they could learn a lot of trained professionals.

So i left after arguing this point and the person said they would cancel it immediately etc etc.

All talk.no action..i call it trying to get me in trouble.

So ill try cancel myself .going to police ..

My new employer is waiting to apply for my new non b.

Making our lifes time and money a nightmare .

Btw this woman runs a language school and cooking school also.

She knows the rules laws required.

Its just a power game to her.

no not yet i went for extension.yesterday which was granted on non b.

Hoped lawyer would sort it.

I will take what i have and go file with local police.

I dont have time to play games with her.

Its been close to 3 weeks now.

I'd go file a police report, take that to the Ministry of Labour and see if it's enough to cancel your work permit.

First she never gave it to me.

Only gave me a copy.

I resigned as not paid wages and many issues..

I have not used the work permit yet.

Yes extension of stay.i reported yesterday and asked for 7 day extension.

Did you already go to the police and file a police report? <- That is actually what you do to get things "written down" in thailand. It doesn't matter if there's a crime that occurred or not you just go file a report and use that to show the Ministry of Labour.

You can cancel the Work Permit by yourself at the Ministry Of Labor. Are you on a Visa and doing border/Visa runs every 90 days or do you have an Extension of Stay and report every 90 days at Immigration Office?

Yes lawyer got the run around.

And its obvious they dont tend to do the required documents for me.

Im.so upset by this woman

So i go to surat thani and see if they can help me.

They will contact the Employer if he refuses to hand it over even after request from a lawyer.

I think you actually NEED to have your work permit with you when you go to the MOL to cancel it :/
