TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing an urgent situation where their work permit and visa will expire on March 31, and their employer is refusing to pay their salary. They seek advice on available visa options while also dealing with employer issues. Comments suggest contacting the labor department regarding the salary dispute and exploring different visa options, including emergency extensions or tourist visas.

All you can do is try to fly to another country, but you need to follow their rules against this virus, some countries will be 14 days quarantaine, than visit a Thai Consulate for a Single Entry Tourist Visa, fly back to Thailand with a medical statement that you are fit and no symptoms of Covid19 and a medical insurance with coverage of more than 100.000 USD.

lots of time and money spend for a 60 days stay and maybe a 30 day extra in the hope it all is over by then.

Can't he request the letter of 30 days emergency extension?

1. My guess, you're a teacher, and the agent is laying you off early.

2. do what Wouter Van der stichel said above and contact the labor department; they are fair.

3. Book a ticket back to the USA NOW! You *MAY NOT* be able to leave Thailand soon.

I have a flight to the USA but for April 24th all my money has been tied up with the all the traveling and booking I plan to do for the next few weeks and airlines hasnโ€™t issued any refunds. The money that my agent owes me is over 50k baht

Report your employer to the labor department first thing tomorrow morning. Visa wise I don't know though, but you should get paid for work done!
