TLDR : Answer Summary
Adrian is waiting for his Thai visa approval with an urgent flight in two weeks due to a family emergency. He inquires about the possibility of extending his stay in Thailand if the visa is not approved in time. Community members provide information on visa exemption, extension options available for married individuals, and updates on Adrian's visa status, which ultimately gets approved.
Okay, there's NOTHING anyone on this group can do about your visa being approved in time for you to fly here or not. It either WILL be approved and you can fly here on it OR it will not be approved and you can fly here visa exempt (on a free entry stamp)
Sorry for your wife's condition and best wishes at getting the visa approved
BUT
there's nothing you can do other than email the consulate and see if they respond.
You can go on a visa exemption for 30 days and one time extend it with another 30 days. If your Thai visa is a E-visa and you will receive it after you enter Thailand. Then you can use this one after a border run
