Hi all. I have a couple of general visa related questions.

1) Am I correct in thinking it is possible to obtain more than two visa exemptions in a calendar year? If I use the two (more or less) guaranteed visa exemption allowances by land, can I still get a visa exemption by air in the same calendar year? At the immigration officers discretion of course.

2) With a British passport, where am I able to apply for a SETV in SE Asia? Which places are best recommended for this?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires whether it is possible to obtain more than two visa exemptions in a calendar year and whether a visa exemption by air can be received after using land exemptions. Additionally, they ask about the best locations to apply for a Single Entry Tourist Visa (SETV) in Southeast Asia as a British passport holder.

Every Thai consulate in the area is more strict than a few years ago.

Your history of being inside Thailand as shown in your passport with stamps is part of the decision making process to get a visa.

There is no way to predict which embassy or consulate is issuing you a visa without any questions or with a question ask or deny.

There are no fortune tellers members on this page and crystal balls, tea leaves or card games might work or not.

The more Tourist visa and Visa Exempt entries and Extensions of stay on top of them the less chance for a new tourist visa.

Good luck.

@Jamie *****
yes. But the Thai Consulates will consider your history.

May be possible at several as you were on Non B with work permit if I understand your recent history.

1) yes, your understanding is correct.

2) AFAIK there is no general restriction for British passport holder to apply SETV in SEA.

I had a Non Immigrant O visa with work permit in 2019. I was in and out of the country regularly, last leaving in mid December.
