Hey guys,

Has anyone applied for the DTV through Muay Thai soft power? I already train at a gym regularly, but this gym is not an certified by the Thai Education Department.

Would this be a problem?

Depending on the embassy you want to apply at, a contract with a reputable Muay Thai Gym/School may be enough.

Embassy have their own qualifications and right now it is the easiest to get it will ever be.

Yes that's an problem if they don't have the right papers it's not possible. It's same with some schools without the right papers they can't give you an ED visa.

actually at this point this visa targets "soft" programs.

So it is not regulated at all.

Because this is aimed at leisure tourists and not education like an ED, there is no guidelines.

This may change and a registry of some sort may come in the future of approved programs.

But as of now it's a free for all.

As long they feel it looks like a legit school or training program it will likely be approved.
