Hi. Just wondering if a normal gym membership, gym that has weights, cardio equipment and body fitness classes, would be ok for soft power application? Does it have to specifically be a muay thai gym for example. Thoughts.
Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses whether a standard gym membership, which offers weights and fitness classes, is sufficient for meeting the soft power requirements of the DTV visa in Thailand. Most comments suggest that a regular gym membership may not be adequate, with some indicating that an official letter from a licensed gym authorized by the Sports Authority of Thailand is necessary. Furthermore, activities like Muay Thai are preferred for the soft power criteria, and engaging with personal trainers or specialized gyms is recommended.
We have found that a few embassy were accepting non soft power activity such as scuba diving, self defense initially but slowly they have began to gravitate towards insisting its a soft power activity. I run a muay thai school and have processed 50 so far.
Not all gyms in Thailand are allowed to issue official letters for the DTV visa. The gym should be licensed and authorized by the Sports Authority of Thailand.
