Hi everyone, I have a couple of questions about applying for the DTV visa:
1. My husband and I want to apply together. Do we each need to transfer $15,000 into the joint account ( is that right amount??? It Seems like Quite a lot if each of us have to do it) or is it enough for just one of us? After the money is in the joint account, do we have to wait three months before applying for the visa, or can we submit a letter explaining that the funds are from our own company and are legally moved to a savings account, so we can apply immediately without waiting three months?
2. When applying for the visa, do we need to provide flight details? Do you recommend booking flights in advance? What if the visa is denied—how can we handle changing the tickets?
Hi everyone, I am planning on applying for a DTV workcation for myself and 2 dependent DTV for my children. My husband will apply for a Non-0 volunteer visa (he needs a work permit). We are applying through Chicago. My husband and I have a joint bank account. We currently have the 500,000 baht in our account. I am able to move over additional money to cover my dependents. I am wondering if I also need to move over enough money to cover my husband. Even though he won't be on a DVT, my concern is they will want me to have the money in there since it is a joint account. Thanks for your help!
My Thai wife added me to her Bangkok Bank account a while ago. Over the years she’s made deposits inside Thailand as well as transferring money into the account from the USA. She’s got well in excess of several million baht.
Question: I’ve been told that when I apply for marriage visa that the money in the joint account must be 800,000 baht min (instead of 400,000 in my own account) cause it’s a joint account. BUT does it all have to be shown to have come from outside Thailand or does it matter since a it’s several million baht in the account? Thanks!
Hi, I have a question for the Non-O retirement extention visa. If one canadian spouse has the revenues to get the proof of revenue letter from the Canadian embassy/consulate but the other spouse doesn't, will having them on their spouses' visa as a trailing spouse negate the requirement for the letter for the second spouse? Will the second spouse have to deposit funds in a thai bank? They have a joint account with more funds and revenues as a couple than are required.
