What are the requirements for showing bank account funds for a METV visa application in Thailand for US citizens?

My husband and I, US citizens, want to get METV’s and we need to show $7000 per person in a bank account. I have multiple bank accounts in one bank. Together they are greater than $7000. Can I show this for a visa or does one account need to have $7000?

If we choose to show an account that is greater than $14000, and we show our marriage license, does the account need to be in both our names or can it be in just one of our names?

Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the financial requirements for US citizens applying for a METV visa to Thailand, specifically regarding the need to show $7000 per person in a bank account. The author asks if multiple accounts can be used to meet this amount and whether the account must be in both names if they choose to show a combined amount exceeding $14000 with a marriage license. Comments suggest that it may be simpler to each use a separate account with the required funds, and there is some discussion about recent changes in financial requirements.

Simplicity is best for Thai Administration, use one bank each, one account in your name, and one in your partners name. 7k each then if that's the requirement.

I just received our METV for both my wife and me. The financial requirements for USA is now 2000 usd per person for three months. We have a joint account with more than 4000 both our names are on the account but I believe a marriage certificate would work but not sure if it is even necessary
