Hi guys anybody knows if the joint account is accepted for retirement Visa?
Basically I do the Visa under my name and my spouse apply for a dependency Visa, do I need to have the bank account only with my name or can it be joint? Thanks๐
TLDR : Answer Summary
The acceptance of a joint bank account for a retirement visa in Thailand can vary depending on the immigration office. Some offices may accept it, but you might need to maintain a higher balance. Generally, the rules favor having a personal account in your name only, and it's advisable to hold the account in your name to avoid potential issues in the future. However, there are reports of individuals successfully using joint accounts, especially when providing a marriage certificate.
