I am getting ready to apply for my first one year extension based on marriage to my Thai wife next month

I have got all my paperwork filled out and all of the required documentation

The money has been in the bank for 5 months

My question is the bank account is in my name first and my wife’s name second

Is it going to be a problem that the account is a joint account ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is preparing to apply for a one-year visa extension based on marriage to a Thai citizen and has concerns regarding the acceptability of a joint bank account for financial verification. Comments suggest that having a joint account should not be an issue, but there are recommendations to ensure sufficient funds, as the bank amount may be considered divided between both account holders.

Money is no problem it has been in account for plenty of time

Not a problem, but you need more money in the bank. In Thailand a joint account is seen as 50% of the money is yours and 50% the misses.

Yes.
