ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS:

We say over and over to check your stamp when you get stamped in. but still every week people make posts about how they were stamped in wrong and didn't notice it.

One more time, we urge everyone to;

CHECK YOUR STAMPS BEFORE YOU WALK AWAY FROM PASSPORT CONTROL

If you get bad stamped it is YOUR responsibility to get it corrected.

NOTE:

If you get a bad stamp at a land crossing no immigration office will correct it except that entry point. <- meaning if you don't catch it there you slog on back to get it fixed..

If you get a bad stamp by passport control at an airport, it's often faster to go back to that airport to correct the stamp rather than going to the immigration office and waiting in the queue to get it done.

This is an example of a visa exempt entry (ผ.30) but they got stamped in for 90 days. The officer picked up the MAY stamp rather than the MAR stamp 😮 This does not mean the person gets to stay until May, their actual date is Mar 23 like a visa exempt entry would give

I'm from the US on a 45 day exempt and now a 30 day TR extension. I got a 60 day TR e-visa from the US but it came 3 days after I had already arrived to the Kingdom. Can I still use the 60 day visa on say a RT flight to Singapore and back to Thailand .. or is the TR visa only good from the country that issued it? Thanks for your info and time.

Multiple entry Tourist visa

Hey guys I'm an Irish national currently in Ireland. But in January I'll be moving to KL, Malaysia - living and working there legally.

I want to spend a lot of time in Thailand, so I'd like to get the Multiple Entry Tourist Visa to start...

M question is do I have to get that visa in my home country Ireland, like now?

Or can I apply for it in KL when I get there in January?

Thanks!

I will be going to ChiangMai Jan 7 to start proceedings for a retirement visa. I am a US Citizen so I can enter on a Visa Waver entry.

Question is, can a Visa Waver entry be converted to the Non O retirement? I would apply the 60 day tourist visa but I am in South China and the covid chaos here prevents me from being able to go to the Thai consulate to do so. I have also read that US will not issue one without me being in US (my plane ticket would give it away).

If it can't be, then I need to figure out another way.

Thanks in Advance!!

G’day everyone, a friend of mine is hoping to retire and live in Thailand next year. He was convicted of a crime in the UK approx 30 years ago and since his release has a clean slate. Will this cause a problem when applying for a retirement visa? Thank you in advance

Hi all,

Few days ago I was almost refused entry to Thailand, just bc previously I stayed there 1 year (March 2021-March 2022) using covid extensions to my TR visa (everything fully legal - not even 1 day of overstay or anything). Immigration even threatened about giving me a few years entry ban... For any future visit, will changing my passport to a new one be enough to get 'clear' and enter without problems? Or it's a chance they will keep me on some black list? Thanks a lot for your advice!

ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS:

60 DAY COVID EXTENSIONS

The current 60 day covid extension program (which started Jan 26th) ENDS when immigration offices close this Friday (the 25th)

There has been NO news about whether it will continue or not.

Remember this current 60 day covid program is ONLY for people who entered thailand on a visa exempt entry OR a tourist visa entry.

If you ever had a non-immigrant type visa since you've stamped in to thailand you cannot get a covid extension

AND

if you're from one of the 18 countries that BUY a 15 day visa on arrival when you land here for 2000baht you cannot get a covid extension

As soon as we hear something official we will post it
