The conversation indicates a positive shift in the exchange rate of the Australian dollar (AUD) against the Thai baht (THB), with some participants noting this is the first time the AUD has increased in value. There is mention of other currencies being stronger against the baht, particularly the Singapore dollar. Comments also reflect on past exchange rates, with users expressing satisfaction regarding money transfers and the current situation.
Of course you're right. A weak currency can have all sorts of different effects. I'm just suggesting that the statement "this is good news" is a little humorous. Note that a weak currency can have negative effects on everyday people as well, not just rich folks seeking to travel and buy giant Toblerones in airports.

You mean for the first time the Aussie dollar has actually gone UP? lol
not really. It's the Thai baht going down against the Aussie dollar which has given the Aussie more value as it has against the pound, euro and dollar.
