Will my flight to Vietnam be accepted as proof of exit under my TR visa conditions?

My visa is a single entry TR visa and states I have 60 days.

From what I understand this can be extended once 1,900 baht for 30 days giving me 90 day total.

My enquiry is, I arrive in BKK on 29/11/22 and I have a flight to Vietnam on 23/02/23 so will be leaving Thailand within 90 days.

Will my airline except my flight to Vietnam as proof of exit or will they want to see a exit flight within the 60 days printed on my TR visa?

Apologies in advanced if I don’t make sense 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original inquiry concerns the acceptance of a flight from Thailand to Vietnam as proof of exit under a single entry TR visa with a potential extension. Responses indicate that airlines may have varying policies regarding the requirement for an exit ticket to match the visa's initial validity period of 60 days. Some users suggest that it's safer to have a ticket within that timeframe, while others propose buying a refundable ticket if needed.

I,ve never had any issues with tourist visa return ticket booked for over the 60 day stay.in my experience its always depends on the staff at counters and immigration.

Buy a refundable ticket get on the plane and after you clear passport control in Thailand cancel it

Even though they ask even less than the airlines, the Thai immigration want the flight to be within the initial period.

pretty much the only time that a Thai immigration officer will ask you details about a flight out is where you have an extensive history of entries on exempt or back to back tourist visas and they’re looking for ways to deny you entry this time. For an average tourist they’re just not going to ask.

Just out of interest . Didn't you have to show a ticket out of Thailand to get your tourist visa? I couldn't obtain a visa without the onward ticket , I tried and was ask for it before they would process the application. 🙏

ok , I didn't do mine in the UK.

That’s really up to the airline and their policies. Some will want to see a ticket out within the number of days allowed regardless of the fact you could get an extension in country.

Some won’t care.

but a single entry TR visa is granted with 60 days and is extendable for a further 30 days right? I will call the airline.. 👍

The airlines say that extensions aren’t guaranteed (technically correct but almost never turned down) so they want proof of leaving within the allowed days.
