What should I do if my DTV visa application is stuck on Pending Approval?

Hi guys

Applied for DTV and submitted additional documents 2 weeks ago on Monday (submitted the extra documents on Monday 21/08). 2 days after it went to status 'Pending Approval'.

It has been on that status for a while now. I have emailed them but they said they do not provide updates through phone or email and that all updates are on the platform.

Anyone else with the same situation that eventually got approved/other actions? My flight is soon. (I don't mind going in with visa exempt first but would be convenient to have DTV immediately)

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user applied for a Thai DTV visa from Belgium and is experiencing a delay in the approval process, currently in 'Pending Approval' status for over two weeks. Other community members shared their similar experiences, noting the common delays in the application process and advised that updates are typically provided via the online platform, not through email or phone. Some suggested that the approval may correlate with the applicant's flight date. Additionally, discussion around document requirements and the simplicity of the e-visa application process occurred, with tips shared on how to prepare for submissions.

nope, not yet.

My initial flight date had passed and they updated the status with a message: if you still need this visa please send us an updated flight booking with entry into Thailand.

This was last Friday, it's back on 'Pending Approval' now.

It's been +4 weeks now, luckily I'm not in a rush

just the same as any other embassy, through the evisa portal.

The application is very straightforward, timelines just differ a lot depending on the embassy of the country.

ผู้มีส่วนร่วมที่ไม่ระบุตัวตน for the bank statement, do you use the 6 months bank statement?

no, only the last statement. But in my case there was more than double the necessary amount on this account

Did you get the visa?

If you have given the date of your flight to Thailand, they may approve it as close as possibel to that date, as they do with other visa’s, in you favor.

Similar case here. Applied on August 26th, and it's been on Pending Approval since September 2nd. And yeah, they DO NOT take any visa-related enquires trhu email, phone nor in person visit.

Of you go in on exempt out will void your application

in theory I think you're right, but I think it's pretty common for people to be approved for visas whilst they're already in the country

Dtv requires you to be outside thailand. It may work but would be risky. Not sure where you would even go for your stamp if it is evisa?

Stephan Studtmann yeah, just wanted to know how long it took for some after it switched to that status. I applied more than 4 weeks ago, but the extra documents needed some time.

Want to know if it's still possible to get denied if it's status Pending Approval
