What has been the experience with applying for a DTV Visa at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Los Angeles?
Has anyone received a DTV Visa from Royal Thai Consulate-General, Los Angeles yet? I ask because I'm leery of applying to them, since the last time I did (for a tourist visa) they denied my visa, refused to offer a reason, and would not refund the application fee. It was only $40, so no big deal. However I do not want to pay $400 for a DTV application and have them refuse the visa without communicating with me. TIA.
Summary so far
The post discusses concerns regarding the application process for a DTV Visa at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Los Angeles, especially following a previous negative experience with a tourist visa application. The original poster is skeptical about applying for the more expensive DTV Visa due to fears of rejection without clear communication. Comments from others mention negative experiences, including outright visa rejections with insufficient explanations.

Got rejected from them, they said my passport expiration date was wrong and rejected the visa — I wouldn’t apply with them
