TLDR : Answer Summary
The user encountered an issue where their one-month visa extension was mistakenly stamped to expire in 2018 instead of the correct date. Several commenters shared similar experiences and emphasized the importance of addressing this issue with immigration as soon as possible to avoid complications. Advice included going back to the immigration office to have the stamp corrected, even though some believed that as long as the user exited the country before the expected expiration, they might not face issues.

I've just had the same thing happen to me. 30 day entry expires June 2018.
I guess I should have added a winky smile to make it clear

Happens all over the world: in 2013 I entered Bolivia on February 2nd. Somehow the geniuses at the border crossing stamped me in for January 2nd instead. Headed to the nearest immigration office, showed them my Argentinian exit stamp and had it corrected.
You're probably fine if you leave before June 16th this year, it's pretty obvious this wasn't your mistake. But just in case I'd go back to immigration and have the stamp fixed, better safe than sorry when it comes to visa issues.

It will be his mistake if he doesnt rectify it.

Umm, what I wouldn't do is go to an immigration office today or Friday :O seeing as they're closed for holidays on those days.. ;)

Why these people want to put photos of such things as this up on FB I will never understand, it's not as if it's that unique after all.

As foreigners, some are unfamiliar with visa procedures so everyone is strongly encouraged to flag out any uncertainties or issues they may encounter. Let's help each other as much as we can.

There is NO downside to posting and letting people know that this happens. Believe me it happens a LOT here..
It even happened to the thai tweet-master Richard Barrow :O He went for his B visa extension and was mistakenly granted a TWO year extension of stay.
If he hadn't asked them about it the next time he was in their office he'da been in a world of hurt :/

Are you serious? It alerts others that may not ne aware.

Get it corrected A S A P . I had a wrong date on a 90 day slip .,and did,nt realize when i went for my next report they wanted money from me .I explaind that the officer that stampd me was him . After a few mins another officer said that when he stampd my 90 day was his first day But still wanted money After my wife speaking very nice to them they said no problem
, seeing as you get those extensions INSIDE an immigration office how could it be hot?
They all have air con ;)
Adam **********
It wont be "no problem", it will be big problem if not sorted. Your fault for not checking it, not theirs. The can say it was a hot day and made them drowsy.

You certainly aren't the first foreigner who got stamped wrong in thailand.
Just so you know, you're NOT allowed here until 16 Jun 2018 ;)
, You're correct, as long as they either apply for an extension of stay at an immigration office OR exit the country before the real admitted until date they'd be okay.
Many many people get stamped in wrong and I see a TON of them out at Chaengwattana getting their stamps corrected.
Charles ***********
Why does she need to get the stamp corrected? It's obviously meant to be stamped 2017. As long she exits by the date in 2017 there's no problem, right? I ask because the same thing just happened to me!
