What should I do about my DTV visa after entering Thailand on a visa-free basis?

hello all

maybe a silly question but i have been waiting for dtv visa approval since august 14. The application has been delayed because they needed additional documents and the person doing the visa applications is currently on leave. Now, tomorrow I will arrive in Thailand. Since I meet all the conditions I suspect my visa application will be approved but since the circumstances so not until I am already in the country. In other words, I will enter on a visa-free basis (so I suspect I will also have to show a return ticket from within 60 days?). Now, my question is, if I get my dtv visa while I am in the country, do I still have to leave the country and back in for this visa to be valid? Or can I solve this by e.g. stopping by a migration office?

check with your airline about if you need to show a ticket within 60 days. they are the ones that will be checking, and some airlines check this, some do not.
