I’ve just re-entered Thailand on a METV, expires 13th December. They’ve only stamped me for 30 days, I was expecting 60 days. Is this right? If it isn’t is there anything I can do to get it amended to 60 days? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user re-entered Thailand on a METV but was only stamped for 30 days instead of the expected 60 days. Several comments suggest that it's common for this to happen and advise the user to either exit and re-enter before their current stamp expires for a new 60-day entry or to visit an immigration office to rectify the stamp issue for free. Additionally, it is mentioned that the visa's expiry date does not affect the length of stay granted, as long as the entry occurs before the visa's expiration.
, actually if you get the visa really close to the time you're coming here you can get almost 270 days (9 months) of stay out of a 6 month METV. 4 - 60 day entries and then extend the last entry by 30 days.

Yes that was what I was going to do. Looks like an extra trip to the office to get it sorted then.

so in all actuality a 6 month METV can last 7 months?

you didn't check that you got stamped in for 60 days when you entered the country did you :/ You were stamped in wrong. It happens to a LOT of people. You can go to the immigration office in your area and they will correct it for free. Face it you're not the first foreigner here stamped in wrong.
, No, the Visa gives you an Admitted to Stay period, a Tourist Visa 60 days. The Visa itself expire on the day after Enter before date, if you enter on last day of enter before date you still get 60 days admitted to stay.

Isn't it depending on the Date of Issue on the Visum, regardless the Entrydate?
