ORIGINAL POSTER
Went to CW Bangkok immigration today to get my passport stamped for my one year extension based on marriage. Today being the 25th March 2025, they have stamped my passport 3rd March 2026.

My non o visa extension prior to this was stamped till 1st April 25. UK Passport is valid till 2029 πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Not really bothered but just curious why it’s not a full year from today?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user received a one year extension on their Non-O visa based on marriage, but it was not issued for a full year from the application date. Comments clarify that the extension is based on the expiration date of a prior 90-day visa stamp, which explains the end date of 3rd March 2026 instead of one year from the application date.

Take it back and complain, or at least ask for an explanation.

It appears the conundrum is solved.

The O/P was applying for their first yearly extension from a 90 day Non-O visa WITH a 60 day visit thai family extension tagged on it.

The 90 day Non-O visa stamp expired Mar 4th 2025,

The 60 day visit thai family extension expired April 1st, 2025

so when they applied for the year extension their year was from the date the Non-O 90 day stamp expired and ran for a year to 3 March 2026
