Hi, wondering if there’s any deadline to apply for a 1 year extension to Non-O extension.
I’m currently out of country, due to arrive on 15th of this month, out of ASQ on 22nd.
My re-entry permit expires November 5th, can I go to immigration any time up until then?

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can apply for a 1-year extension of your Non-O visa within the last 30 days of your current visa or extension. While it's possible to apply on the last day, it is not advisable due to potential issues that may arise. Many immigration offices allow applications 30 to 45 days in advance, so it's best to check with your local office. Currently, Bangkok immigration is only processing extensions for visas expiring within the next 3 days due to COVID-19.

Wow. I heard they’d stopped that and are even opening on Saturdays now. Also, I’m wondering what Covid has to do with not allowing renewals unless within 3 days of an expiry date? How would Covid affect whether it’s 45 days out or only 3?
And don’t even get me started on why you only have a 3-day window to renew your visa. What if you were ill at that time? Couldn’t make it to the IO? Or your wife was sick or couldn’t get time off work? These IO rules get more unreasonable each year.
ok thanks. Appreciate the reply. Do you happen to know if this new 3-day rule is only for CW or in all IOs in Thailand? I’m thinking of changing to Chonburi for my next 1-year extension as I have property there also. Dealing with CW even once a year sends me nuts!
You can go on the last day but that is not advisable as if you have an issue you might not have time to get it corrected for them to accept the application. Most offices let you apply 30 days in advance while some others allow 45 days in advance (check with your office you will be using).
