I want to ask, has anyone here ever experienced the same thing as me:

I just went to the district office to get my yellow book (house registration), but there was an error with the worker when inputting my ID number. then the district office worker took back my yellow book (house registration).

the worker from the district office said, she had to report to a bigger office to open the system so the worker could change my ID number.

Does anyone here know how long the process for cases like this usually takes?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquires about the duration taken to rectify an error in their ID number on a yellow book after visiting a district office in Thailand. After the error was noted, the worker indicated the need to report to a higher office to amend the ID number. Comments provide varied insights, suggesting the process may depend on location and mentioning related issues like motorcycle insurance and potential financial incentives to expedite the process.

Depends where you are, and what you are using it for, example:- I had an accident on my motorcycle, the insurance asked if I had it, I asked why, and they said it makes things easier.

Did you try offering financial incentive? Thats what they usually want when they encounter 'an unexpected problem'.... Anyway its not worth the effort anyway, no real benefit... And speaking from experience.
