Getting my 1 year visa extension based on marriage next week and curious if there is any problem with flying out soon after for a couple months and then back, my understanding is to get the exit stamp on way out at Suvarnabhumi. After 12 years finally getting the 1 year as in normal times I fly back and forth 6 times a year for work. Thanks!

wow 👌🏻 ok thanks!

remember when you apply for a year marriage extension you get an "under consideration" stamp first (usually 30 days) then you go back and get the year extension inked in when that stamp runs out

Wait until you get the year extension inked in to buy a re-entry permit (so it'll be good the whole year)

absolutely do not leave before the one year extension stamp is in your passport.

And remember do not touch the 400,000.Thai bank account balance you have submitted to Thai immigration. You will need to have a bank book update on the day you go back to get the stamp.

thanks James I was thinking that was the case but always great to be reassured with you and Tod. I was on the fence as offered a decent gig back in the states but my 1 year superseding it all at the moment in these Covid19 times. My wife will be happy I’m not leaving yet, lol. 400,00 lives in its own account not to be touched, thanks for reminder!
