I have applied for a 10-year LTR visa. A medical certificate may be required. What info are they seeking? I could not find an example on the LTR site or anywhere.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the potential requirement of a medical certificate for the 10-year Long-Term Resident (LTR) visa in Thailand. Several comments indicate that a medical certificate is not typically required, and instead, applicants can provide proof of health insurance or show assets of $100,000 to meet requirements. Experiences and advice from previous applicants suggest that while the LTR application allows for health insurance to be submitted later, the specifics regarding required documentation can vary.

I just applied for the LTR and received a response asking for my health insurance. Despite the fact that the application has a box to check that says it can be submitted later (which I checked).
Also I have Blue Cross Blue Shield health ins which covers me worldwide but what I have from them may not satisfy the BOI.
I too have BCBS in the US that covers me worldwide. I'm looking at coming over on a long term visa LTR/Retirement/O and was trying to figure out how to get thai immigration to accept it. Let me know if you do please.
wrong place to aske. The ltr is handelend totally independent from immigration. Extreme happy with that. Have a look at the boi ( board of investments) website. Look for ltr and all the information is there. A telephonenumber is mentioned and the people who take up the phone aard extremely helpfull!
yes can be submitted later. I did that because the requirement was that the health insurance need to have a validity of, i believe seven months. I had alreadya yearly health insurance but the expirationdate was a few months after my applicationdate so needed to contact the insuranc to change the insurancedates. That took quite some times so to avoid that the handling of theapplication would be delayed you can submit the application during the time the BOI .LTR office could asked work on the application.

I had an OA visa for 6 years. I have a Pacific Cross insurance policy that satisfied the OA health insurance requirement. Each year, when I renewed my policy, they sent me an insurance certificate document and registered the policy in the Immigration database. When I applied for the pensioner LTR visa I submitted the same insurance certificate to satisfy the LTR insurance policy. There is also the option to show that you have $100,000 deposited in a bank account but I did not do this since I already have the insurance.

Wait until they ask for it...

I don’t think medical certificate is required at all. And you only need show $100k asset to bypass medical insurance requirement
