Applying for the LTR and looks like I may have issues with the insurance. I have a very good Dutch insurance that covers all costs, but they will never specify specific amounts. Does anybody have ideas for this ? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice regarding insurance requirements while applying for Thailand's Long-Term Resident Visa (LTR). They have a Dutch insurance policy that covers all costs, but it doesn't specify amounts. Commenters suggest options such as purchasing a basic insurance policy to meet the visa requirements, checking their current policy's coverage for living abroad, or even showing sufficient funds in a bank account as an alternative.

Yes - don’t get any additional insurance to meet their requirements. Simply show them $100k USD in a bank account and carry on

It is. That info readily available on their website. No need for insurance at all

Hi Jo

You can get a cheap policy to cover the visa requirements correct.

However with your existing one please check the out of area cover.

Pretty much most policies will cover you if you’re out of area so for example you live here in Thailand but only for a specific number of days eg 14-30 are the norm.

It’s easy for them to check with flight information etc so please be very careful as it mostly won’t cover you living here.

If you have any issues dm me I will try to guide you as this is what we do

The requirement of $50,000 is pretty low. You can just buy a throwaway policy with high deductible. That's what I did, cost me like $200.

I think the broker I used is only available for Americans but not sure. It was through insubuy.com

it's one of the very last steps so you should know if you're going to be approved before you need to spend money on insurance
