I have a retirement visa. I have ticket purchased to fly BKK to India on 12 January.
Now I have an invite to Philippines but in order to get my BKK to India flight I would have tonovernight in Bangkok.
What do I do in terms of Re-entry permits.
First one is to entry through Bangkok.
Then another before fly to India next day?
Or can I stay over one night in Bangkok on a transit visa and have my re-entry permit for when I re-enter from India rather than Philippines. TIA for advice

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you have a retirement visa and plan to transit through Bangkok on your way to India, you will need to obtain a re-entry permit. It's recommended to get a multiple re-entry permit, which allows you to enter and exit Thailand as needed. This permit costs around 3800-4000 THB and can be acquired at immigration offices or at the airport. You will need a separate re-entry permit for each entry into Thailand, even if it's just for an overnight stay.

I thought 1,000 for each re-entry permit. That is why people say if you are leaving/going 4 times or more in a year, get the multi-entry when you get your retirement extension.
visa extension is 1900, re-entry is 1000 and at the airport it's + 100 if you don't have the required documents. So if you do it at the airport and don't have the documents required it's 1100
