Advice

I am on an 1 year extention of stay based on retirement.

l need to return to UK next week but not yet sure for how long.

1- 4 months l'm expect.

so as l understand it :-

1. l get a single entry

2. I can stay UK as long as l like ( annual stamps up in November's ) so as long as l'm back before then its ok.

Is my thinking correct?

Regards

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on their situation regarding a one-year extension of stay in Thailand based on retirement, as they plan to travel back to the UK for an expected duration of 4 months. They want to confirm that obtaining a single entry and a re-entry permit allows them to stay in the UK without affecting their visa status, provided they return before their extension expires in November.

Correct.

All you need is a Re-Entry Permit, that will keep your extension alive till the last date. So as long as you return before that date there is no problem. You can when ever you have time before the trip buy this permit at Immigration Office for 1.000 Thb or at the Airport before passport control.

If you haven't got a "Multi Entry" stamp in your Passport you will need to go to Immigration a few days before your trip and ask for an Exit stamp so your Extension doesn't become void.

Exit stamp ?

I think you're referring to needing a reentry permit, this will keep your current extension of stay alive.

Get from airport when you leave Thailand or in advance from immigration office,

1000 บ single reentry

3800 บ multiple reentry

(+200 บ fee at suvarnabhumi)
