Hi All
Re-entry permit enquiry...
My situation is that I have a non-immi 'O' visa with one year retirement extension and no re-entry permit so far.
I now need to leave/return Thailand once, before my extension expires, and retain my current visa so I can extend again.
I got my last extension renewal at Jomtien, Chonburi.
I'm in Phuket now and want to stay south, flying out of the country from Samui in June. I see now that I probably should have applied for a re-entry permit at Jomtien before I left.
I just want to confirm that it's NOT possible to apply for a re-entry permit at Phuket immigration and that I need fly from Don Mueang or Suvarnabhumi airport and apply there when I fly.
If so, are there any issues with doing that which have occurred recently?
Thanks
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about applying for a re-entry permit in Phuket after obtaining a non-immigrant 'O' visa with a retirement extension. They need to leave Thailand and return before their extension expires, and are unclear on the process of applying for a re-entry permit while in Phuket, particularly if it is possible at the Phuket immigration office or only at major airports. Community members suggest trying to apply at the Phuket immigration office and sharing their experience.
