I have a retirement visa in its first year renewing in Krabi by 18th February 2024.
I have a multiple re entry permit also expiring 18 Feb 24.
Krabi immigration all good with renewel based on 65,000 a month into my Thai bank account. They said come in a week or so before.
However I fly to Oz in December returning 7th Feb, about two weeks prior to renewel of my retirement visa.
What are immigration on my arrival airport (probably Phuket) going to stamp me in as? If 30 day visa exempt will that override my retirement visa and invalidate my renewel?
Ideally I’d re-enter on remaining retirement visa and renew within a few days.
Any advice?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has a retirement visa that is up for renewal in February 2024 and is concerned about the implications of re-entering Thailand with a 30-day visa-exempt stamp. Comments advise that the user should present their re-entry permit to ensure they are stamped in according to their retirement visa, which should remain valid until February 18, 2024.

I returned from Laos several months ago and dealt with a pleasant immigration officer at the land crossing into Thailand. He was in a booth under a huge roof. Unfortunately an enormous storm erupted and I was soaked. In addition birds had been nesting on the top of his booth and the wind dislodged heaps of feathers which blew down and stuck to my wet clothes. The rain was so heavy that we were unable to hear each other and we resorted to charades to communicate. Eventually we both got the giggles and I was re-entered without any problems.
