The individual reports that their visa application was canceled, leading to confusion and the need for clarification on next steps. Community members speculate on potential reasons for the cancellation, such as mistakes in the application or issues related to previous immigration history. Suggestions include contacting the embassy for detailed information, consulting visa agents for assistance, reapplying, and investigating the possibility of a chargeback with the bank. Overall, the conversation reveals frustrations with the lack of transparency in the visa application process.
It could be the middle name issue..added middle name when in your passport does not state it. Many people good canceled on that.

Try calling the embassy for more info. I’m also wondering if a visa agent might be helpful for you to assist you with this. I’ve never used one before but they exist to make things easier for people. The number for the embassy in Hanoi is at the bottom of their website.
Exactly! It’s immoral to accept money, refuse to provide the service and not inform why!

I doubt they will respond. There are standard checks they do on everyone, do you have any form of previous arrest, criminal record, previous over stays etc I don't know but they will turn you down if that's the case but only you know this. Of course it vould be something else, which bank did you use for proof of funds?
I heard some have used Wise personal or business account which maybe a problem? Otherwise not sure what else? Which type of option in the DTV did you choose, remote worker, freelancer, one of the soft options cooking class etc?
Not informing you why they cancelled your application isn’t acceptable. You don’t know what they consider to be wrong so you can’t avoid repetition. I would contact your bank/credit card company and request a chargeback. There has been a report of someone doing this. Their bank asked the Embassy for an explanation. Embassy didn’t respond thus bank authorised the chargeback.
There’s nothing to “understand”based on what they responded to you and nothing you can do unfortunately. How do you want people to help? 😅just have to try again…
I mean, I'm not asking about what you wrote, rather, is that your case? A passport from let's say Portugal issued at the Portuguese Embassy in Thailand or China? I'm asking because this has been a cause for many rejections.

Hold on a second… weren’t you the guy who mentioned in your previous (now edited) post that you had an interview request at the embassy, but were worried you couldn’t make it because you had a tattoo appointment on the same day?
If I’m remembering correctly, what ended up happening with the embassy appointment? Did you go or not?

apologies for misunderstanding. Maybe worth contacting the embassy directly and find out why the application was cancelled. at least then when you reapply you’ll know what to check for or change..

It means you most likely entered something incorrectly. Nothing you can do, it is canceled and fee lost. Can start over and reapply though.
: Not sure what else anyone on here can tell you then. The main reasons for cancellation (not a rejection) is incorrect data. The website scans your jpeg photo and enters it into the cells, but is notoriously known to make errors when doing this. At this stage, only option is to apply again. Many who have had similar issue apply again and triple check everything and then get approved. The downside is Songkran is at the end of the week, so it will take time to reapply and wait .
- ok, because some people who lost a province or the embassy(if they got the visa while out of home country) receive this cancel message. But it sounds like you were correct and entered your country. Middle name versus second first name also catches this error too, or being in the wrong jurisdiction. For example if you apply via Hanoi but are physically in DaNang
