TLDR : Answer Summary
A user expressed concern after submitting a visa application with an incorrect date of birth, unsure of the next steps to take. Several comments provided insights, noting that it's likely the application will be rejected due to strict matching requirements with passport information. Users advised that once submitted, there's no way to edit the application, emphasizing the importance of double-checking data before submission and the potential issues stemming from auto-fill glitches. Many shared similar experiences, highlighting a consensus on taking extra care with personal information when applying.

nope you're stuck and you're very likely going to get rejected because your data and passport scan don't match

For some reason many MANY people have an issue when the passport scan auto-fills the data and it comes out wrong šŸ™

Then if they don't catch it and edit it, the data mis matches and the embassy rejects the application

There is NO WAY to edit data once you submit the application to the consulate. You're stuck

It is why we tell people, to take your time, go slow, it's not a race, check every bit of data you key in and that auto-fills from your passport BEFORE you submit the application to the embassy šŸ™

Mine did the same thing. Still currently waiting for mine to be rejected so I can resubmit

Chrome browser gives me the most problems with date selection on Asian websites. When I switch to Microsoft Edge, the date selection problem goes away.

Another reason to read the website of the Thai Embassy, where most embassies explicit explain that all passport info, has to be excactly like in the machine-readable field at the botoom of the picturepage of the passport.

The submitted data canā€™t be changed by anybody ( security ), and errors made there, will result in rejection.

Make a screenprint of every page before continuing, and get some other person check before submitting.

Do not interact with Thai Governmental websites in the week-ends, either they get overloaded or they may be down fir maintenence / updating.

yep thanks but as you can see from everyone elseā€™s comments the website is constantly glitching and changing / reverting data, not selecting the right dates etc. I read the website plenty of times and was very careful. Just didnā€™t expect my details to be automatically changing and glitching during the entire process :)

This must be a system glitch, I checked my info 3 times and noticed my birthday was always off by 1 number.

yep exactly what happened to me. No matter what you select in the birth date menus it always selects the number above it. Itā€™s a joke of a system. Huge money grab. Also just randomly resets your information too

Money is gone, it the OP can't start again until this one is rejected, which "luckily" would be soon.

Very important to remember when you were born. I've booked hotels for the wrong month and year.

its the glitch in the system that changes your details and gets you when you donā€™t double check, totally oneā€™s own fault but slightly unfair imo

They take the piss bro

yep, even when I was re submitting the exact same error happened again, having to triple check to make sure a ā€œglitchā€ hasnā€™t changed your details again is just ridiculous and unfair. Glitches on a site like this is unacceptable

You just lost your money. Wait for them to cancel and then try applying again.
Fluff *************
No, it's likely going to be denied. Unfortunately they're very very strict when it comes to dates and names matching 100 % with the passport information. The site really tells you to double check the data before submitting.

Seems like a ridiculous money grab.
Henrik *****
No, it is a security feature, to prevent the most important informations canā€™t be changed by anybody.

seems that way. Especially when the site doesnā€™t function and doesnā€™t actually select what you click. Wouldnā€™t surprise me if itā€™s done purposefully.

yup already submitted another one, unfortunate. Their site is also extremely buggy, when you hover over birth date, and click 26 for example, it actually selects 25. Tested multiple times. Had issues with things changing on their own. Going to send a screen recording to them tomorrow, not expecting a refund, but surprised at how this is happening on a website as serious as this.

@Marb *******
Yep itā€™s ridiculous, its a glitch that gets people that donā€™t double check. There is a ā€˜saveā€™ button at the bottom, that obviously does not ā€˜saveā€™ because your details sometimes get changed after you enter the passport.

Still your fault, but slightly unfair.

If 100 people lose their fee to this = extra $30k / 1 million baht to the boys in charge šŸ˜

yeah guess technically you could say itā€™s my fault for not picking up on a glitch they caused in the first place, but the fact thereā€™s glitches happening on a site like this wouldnā€™t suprise me if itā€™s intentional. Iā€™m sure tons of people have reported this and theyā€™re doing nothing about it.. wonder why lol

@Marb *******
They wonā€™t do anything. They post a warning before you submit to double check and ensure everything is correct. Your emails will go to the specific embassy but the website and cancellation will come from MoFA. Those who you talk to literally have no power to change anything.

IIRC there's a few posts in this group where the scan of the passport data page isn't interpreted correctly.

yep but not only that when I am manually going to click a date for example, it selects the one previous. Insane that itā€™s happening on a website like this.

Would be interesting to see if this is happening on anyone elseā€™s end, or if this was somehow only on my side , which I doubt

Happened to me, corrected date just would NOT save. I had to delete the application and start over. Luckily, I didnā€™t yet submit payment.
