Do I need to file my 90-day report in person after re-entering Thailand?

Feb 29, 2024
9 months ago
Good Afternoon; I normally do my 90 day report on-line with no problems, however for the first time I left Thailand and re-entered on 12th Dec 2023, so have tried now 3 times to file now with rejected message: 'Incorrect entry date upon entry into the kingdom/ Incorrect visa expiration date.'

I've read someone say that on re-entering you have to file the first report in person again? Is this correct? Thankyou for any info.๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user encountered repeated rejections while trying to file their 90-day report online after re-entering Thailand on December 12, 2023. Several community members weighed in with similar experiences, indicating that those who have left and re-entered Thailand may need to file their 90-day report in person, especially if there have been issues with the online system or discrepancies in entry or visa dates. Users also discussed potential complications related to the TM30 form and various immigration office policies. Overall, many suggested visiting the immigration office directly to resolve the matter.

I have the same issue. Rejected 2 times. My 90 day is due 9 March.

I honestly don't think it's anything to do with the TM30, because I've seen rejections because the addresses didn't match and they didn't say entry/extensions dates wrong in it they said the address on file was different

Ok, thanks for that Tod! Maybe different IO's have different requirements.I'll hoof it up to Jomtien IO next week ask 'em and report back here.

Suggest you close this post at your discretion Tod, as so many conflicting stories. Thanks again for your valuable input! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™

Can only do after 14 days before 90th date and 7 before. Also, if you have new passport, the first 90 day report with that passport must be done I person. At least was like that for me 3yrs ago.

I did mine online not long ago... Did leave Thailand and reenter with reentry permit..

Calulated new 90 day after last entry and did it online.. And that was 3 days before due date.. 6 h for approval.

I did go in person first but I also needed a new Tm30 so just went home did both online..

I had the same issueุŒ and was rejected online and the same message. I did go to Central immigration and get it done in 10 minutes. Good luck

Same with me last week...

I went in person to immigration and they said to me there was a problem with the website and l so did the 90 days report at the office.

Was rejected 3 times recently. Had go immigration change address form fili in. Also found out TM30 was not done. My extension is due soon . Some owners/agents really do not realise /care regarding doing TM30. My extension would been rejected. Told agent no TM30, no visa no rent.

yep some rental agencies just will NOT file TM30's for the properties they manage for absentee land lords and it makes it super hard for people at the offices that are hard on TM30 (which is becoming more and more offices ๐Ÿ˜ฎ )

so frustrating. Explained so simple

No TM30 no rent as my visa will be rejected. Only allowed me do 90 day report as filled in change address form and think they took copy contract.

I happy signed 12 months contract, but they have responsibility do TM30 so I can honour contract. Always pay rent early

Your too early

I have had extension of stays for 6 years. I recently left the country (with a re-entry permit) and when I returned on 14 Feb, my immigration office said I have to go to the office in person for the 24 hr notification and also for the 90 day report because the online system is currently not working. I understand there are 70+ offices and your mileage my vary but that's what i was told by the people that should know.

@James *******
the online system was down a few days,

but that is a totally b/s story "the online system isn't working"

That really just means your office doesn't want to use it.

It works COUNTRY WIDE for every place in the country

Thanks for the clarification, Iooks like I'll get a fine for not doing a new TM30! Nothing is straightforward here! 555 ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜

maybe they expect u to do a new tm30, first.

@Graham ******
I think this is the case. If you leave the country you need to raise a new TM30 even if at the same address. I got caught out with this recently after a quick trip out of Thailand.

@Andy *******
agreeded. TM30 preceeds a 90 day report.

Presume it's on file, I only do that when I've moved to another Condo, plus if I've been to hotels on holiday whilst here it's not affected anything.

From the address on file before I left, unless I'd filed a new TM30 if it had changed.

Ok, I was hoping to avoid that Tod!

By my calculations your 90 day report is due 10 March 2024 (89 days from the date you stamped in) so you are within the "window of opportunity" to apply online no question.

We are seeing more and more people who are having this issue when they come back in to the country on an existing extension. I don't know if it had anything to do with the update they did recently or not

BUT

I'd say if you were rejected 3 times already and were using 12 Dec 2023 as the entry date and 31 July 2024 as the extension expiration date you're gonna hafta go in person this time.
