What should I do if my marriage visa expires while I'm traveling in Germany?

I have the following problem:

My marriage visa expires on September 1, 2021 but I will travel to Germany from early July until end September 2021. At the immigration office I was told that I can extend my visa earliest 30 days before it expires and because I will not be in country my visa will expire and I would have to apply for a whole new non-O visa in Germany before travelling back to Thailand.

Does anyone have any advice whether there is another solution.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user faces a problem with their marriage visa expiring while they are traveling in Germany, and is looking for solutions regarding extending their visa or obtaining a new one. It is noted that they can extend the visa only 30 days before expiration, which conflicts with their travel dates. Responses suggest either changing the trip plans or applying for a new Non-O visa from Germany as viable options.

Thanks for the replies and yes, a new non-O in Germany is probably the easiest option, just hoped I could avoid the trip to Frankfurt.

By the way, one visa service in Pattaya offered to get me an extension of my existing visa before I travel for 35,000THB. I thankfully denied.

You only have 2 options, travel after you've got your new extention of stay or get a new Non Imm O in Germany. The latter option should be easy enough

Not really. But it will be easy enough to apply for a new visa from Germany for when you return. All the other covid-related stuff you'd have to do anyway, so there's not much difference

Short of changing your Germany trip, no.
