What options do I have for extending my non-O visa based on marriage given the border closures in Thailand?

So I'm not sure what exactly I'm supposed to do. I got a 60-day extension based on marriage from Chiang Mai immigration. My actual non- o Visa based on marriage will expire December 4th. So my question is from what I've gleaned I'm only allowed to get one 60-day extension at The Chiang Mai immigration office. So the question becomes what am I supposed to do with the borders closed since I have a multi-entry visa and not a single entry which means I can't leave Thailand to go to one of the Thai consulates or embassies to get a new multi-entry.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on how to extend their non-O visa based on marriage, which is set to expire soon. They mention already having obtained a 60-day extension from Chiang Mai but are uncertain about their next steps due to border closures and the limitations on obtaining another extension. Community comments suggest options such as applying for a 1-year marriage extension if eligible, seeking a COVID-19 related extension, or potentially changing visa types if working in Thailand.

Right now, your options might be:

As Benjamin states,

1. Seeing the way of preparation of 1 year extension based on being married to Thai national,

2. Checking with your local immigration office if you can apply for that special 60days extension (not based on visiting Thai family)

Or,

3. Seeking a way (and possibility) to apply to change type of visa and extension based on employment if you are working inside Thailand.

I see you don't have 400k in a bank account. Are you planning to arrange that? You should arrange it ASAP, and then you can stay for a year hassle free. All of this COVID business will go on for a long time yet. Get whatever extension you can in the mean time. Looks like a further 60 day is possible for people now.

Do you have a Thai bank account with
*****
0thb in it in your name only and has that money been in there for the past two months?

its pretty unlikely that borders will open (not impossible} by December 4th. Go to immigration (with your wife) and see if they can help you figure out a strategy. Basically you're going to need that money in the bank for a full 2 months Then you can apply for an extension of stay based on marriage. Best of luck.

I am also on non-o multi and used my extension. I have been getting covid extension like with what benjamin mentioned now. Just try to apply for covid extension a week or two before stamp expires so you have enough time to prepare just incase we get rejected. Anything could happen.

Thats all we can really do in this country but it seems like they will keep giving us 60 day covid extensions until the border opens so im optimistic now. Last month not so much as I prepared to go back to the states.

Assuming you got a 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai family back in September, you can stay here no later then the date that's stamped in your passport (November 24, I think).

You can get a one year extension of stay based on marriage to Thai national, if you make 40K THB a month, or 400K THB in a Thai bank account seasoned for 2 months.

I believe you may be able to get another 60 day extension of stay due to the COVID-19 situation.

Besides that, there's no other options :(
