Hallo, I hope, you can help me. I have an non-imm O-A multiple visa for one year. I got this in Germany. This visa ending 7.January 2022. I have an insurance for 2 years from Germany, the name is travel health insurance, Allianz Travel. I have not and will not have my money in an Thailand Bank account. Which kind of visa can I get after ending my visa, or is it possible to extension this kind of visa. Maby I need this for one year or shorter, it's depends from the travel situation in Asia. Thank you for your answer.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user currently holds a Non-O-A multiple visa valid until January 7, 2022, and inquires about options post-expiration without a Thai bank account. Answers suggest applying for a 1-year extension based on retirement, but require funds in a Thai bank. Alternatively, the user could leave Thailand and re-enter before the visa expiry for a new year of stay. Issues with using German travel insurance instead of Thai-approved insurance for extensions are also discussed.

The dates makes it hard to understand but:

If the date on the visa sticker mentioned under:

Enter Before or Valid until is 7 Jan 2022 you can leave Thailand and enter before 7 Jan 2022 to get a new 1 year of stay starting on day of entry.

If you do not like to leave and come back the alternative is 30 days before the date stamped as Admitted Until (guess 8 Jan 2022) you can apply for a 1 year Extension of Stay but must meet all the requirements set by the Thai Immigration Office. Best option is to take your insurance documents and passport to check with Immigration if you can apply.

You must have at least 2 months prior application date 800.000 Thb on a Thai bank account in your name or the Income Affidavit of not less then 65.000 Thb a month from your Embassy.

you have two dates. One is on the Non-OA visa sticker and one is a small stamp you got when you enter Thailand. They are usually not same date. What is the date on your small stamp?

Thanks for the info! Can I get no other Visa?

@Sylvia ******
For a Non-OA visa, the only options are:

- A one year extension of stay based on retirement OR;

- *IF THEY ARE STILL BEING SOLD* (a big IF), a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19.

I don't know if German Embassy here issues an affidavit to prove your fund in Germany. If they do, you can use your money in Germany (by affidavid) as proof of funds instead of the money in your Thai bank account.

Getting a visa and CoE to enter Thailand requires the documents to be reviewed by the local Thai consulate. These are overseen by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Staying in Thailand requires getting an extension of stay. These documents are reviewed by the local immigration office, who are overseen by the police.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Police do not talk to each other sadly.

what I need for the retirement visa. Can I show also my many account in Germany. Can I use my travel insurance from Germany?

>. Can I show also my many account in Germany.

No, the money has to be seasoned in a Thai bank account for at least 2 months before you apply for the one year extension of stay based on retirement.

>Can I use my travel insurance from Germany?

Probably not, it has to be an approved Thai insurance.

I can not go out from Thailand and come back without Quarantine.

ASSUMING the "visa ending" is the "visa valid date" on the visa sticker: Your only option is to leave and return Thailand by January 7, 2022. You will be stamped in for one more year.
