What should I do if I am blacklisted from entering Thailand despite having a Certificate of Entry (COE)?
Hi, I have a serious problem ... I got a COE, paid the quarantine hotel, and the plane ticket and when I tried to board the plane , I was told I could not because Immigration has blacklisted me ... I have no idea why, for how long ... I have no paperwork and it is weird the embassy gave me a COE .
I have a property in Thailand and wanted to pay a visit to my lawyer, to arrange the sale of my property ... Now I hear that in order to get a refund for the ASQ hotel , I need to produce paperwork from Immigration ... but when I contact Immigration they tell me I have to visit them personally ..
Is this scam #200 or what ? I am sick and tired of all of this ... I have no idea why the Thai do this to the writer of this book ... it was actually all the money I had in the world ... and now I can not even rent a room or apartment and have to sleep in the streets again ...
I have this feeling by now that every time I deal with Thai services I get cheated ... and I can no more ... 😭😭😭😭😭 I am a single woman and I am crying all the time ...

It seems like they view you as a habitual overstayer, and is why they supposedly blacklisted you. If you were arrested for overstaying, and not when you went to fly out, but before that, then you were banned for 5 years, and they deported you, then they also made that very clear to you, with a dated stamp in your passport. If you simply got a new passport, your name was still in the system as being banned from entry. The ASQ would not have known that, and the COE process is automated, so wouldn't have flagged you right away. From what you said, you also did not apply for a tourist visa from the embassy, and instead was going to try and enter on a 30 visa exempt stamp when you got here.

You got caught overstaying. They arrest, deport, and ban everyone caught overstaying if it was not at the airport. You can believe what you want, but your ban is for getting caught overstaying your visa. You even said you were caught overstaying and deported.Tara *************

Most everyone goes to the doctor, and if you are not already overstaying, that doctor, if you can not travel, works directly with immigration for your medical emergency visa. If you were not in the hospital, then you were able to leave Thailand instead of overstaying. You did not have a plane ticket to fly out when you supposedly were bitten by a snake, and were overstaying. It doesn't matter what privilege you think you are entitled to, you were caught overstaying your visa, and just like everyone else you were banned for five years. If your overstay was longer than 90 days when you were caught your ban would have been for ten years, just like everyone else. You are no more special than anyone else. Also, lololol, as a supposed journalist, you better get out your dictionary and brush up on the actual meaning of beastiality, as I do not think the person getting surgery was having sex with animals. You were overstaying before you were supposedly bitten by a snake.Tara *************

I was the one phoning the Immigration Police because I was in overstay after I got bitten by a snake and asked them what I should do ... because I was too sick to get to the border ... then again the Immigration Act of Thailand requires foreigners to walk on the water or fly through the air ... I know of one man who got arrested in the middle of an operation ... that is bestiality ... tell me what is more important : refusing medical care in situations where a person can die or the Immigration Act ? why ban someone for 5 years after an overstay of 34 days , if not to protect the criminals who tried to steal all I had ... as to the dated stamp in my passport , which one ? I don't where it is ... so please tell me ... show me ... and to make matters worse ... why would you arrest after an overstay of 34 days of a person who had a snake bite ... the embassy told me to get the VISA exempt ... I was going to see my Thai lawyer and then go back to Belgium ... The worst thing in all of this is that my natural grandfather who was Thai is turning in his grave ... how many times did / do I have to tell people in Thailand ... do you know the Thai nationality laws ?

OPAs to the situation in Belgium ... this is after 5 years ... a refusal of my Thai address and telling me I can get no medical care unless I rent or buy a house in Belgium .. which is very hard when all you have in the world is in Thailand ... because I am a single woman and there is a housing shortage in Belgium ... people tell me to become a good wife of whatever is running around and then maybe I will get medical care ... it is inhumane and disgusting ... especially when you KNOW that I am a Belgian citizen ... 5 years now and it has been enough ...

Are you not banned for life from Thailand ? That would show up at any port you attempt to enter the kingdom - if you arrive you would need stay inside international portion of airport and not attempt to enter - you would be turned around and made to take next plane you could book ... in theory , I saw a couple Persian kids live in airports for over a year while they draft dodged and sought asylum - I’m not sure your situation can be remedied with out a thai lawyer ? After reading through all the comments, you overstayed twice and tried to off yourself in IDC. That is why you were not allowed to return to Thailand. The mistake is on the embassy side as it seems they issues your COE based solely on Covid restrictions and not your actual ability to enter the kingdom.

not exactly ... from May to August and then again from Oct 2 2015 to February 2016 ... and why, well the first time because I was bitten by a snake and a bit ill ... I even mailed the Immigration Police myself but ... the second time when I went back to see my lawyer ... and they did not like that ... 4,000,000THB is a lot of money ... it is hard to read ... every time I wanted to go to court I got deported or banned ... it's jinxed ... When I was in IDC I got beaten ...

Good luck getting a refund on anything irregardless of the reasons I was turned away last Monday said I only got the PCR covid test and not the Rt PCR and no refunds from the airline which surprised me as it was Qatar but no ASQ refunds either as far as the blacklist I would very politely email the embassy and ask them if they can explain why as you have no idea but be polite or you're wasting your time

i can not explain here what exactly went wrong ... but I can assure you that being inside IDC Bangkok is hard and too many inside the room tried strange things ... I believe the police saw this, but there was no real solution ... I was the only European in there at that moment and that made it difficult at times ... Mike ************
