How can I book a quarantine hotel in Thailand without having a flight reference?

So here is the catch 22.

Been on to a hotel to book a quarantine stay. They want a flight booking reference and flight number.

The embassy won't give you a flight until you submit a quarantine hotel booking confirmation.

So where do you go from there?

Seriously? I went to work for 4 weeks now 6 months away from home.

This is the list and cost pal .

That's typical Thailand. You'll get a lot of those. Just keep trying different hotels on different days and you'll find one you can work with.

You have no choice when in quarantine.

Only ASQ hotels are available for isolation.
Anthony *********
Surely the hotel is the one making the mistake????
Michael ********
The embassy in Singapore didnt ask for flight and ASQ booking to apply for COE. But when i got call that i had COE i had to arrange asap by next morning to be issued my COE.
Michael ********
Cold Ice she needs to check thai embassy website to see if she is eligible just having a condo is not reason enough

Eventually an answer 555. I did test in raffles medical center at changi airport terminal 3. But you need permission from MOH first. The link i posted above has all contact numbers e mails etc.

Try Kassikorn bank they were only one I could get to give me an account.

Ok here’s what you do, you contact the embassy and submit all your details for a COE, they will tell you not to book a flight or ASQ at the moment, they will inform you when a repatriation flight is due and how to book, today is actually the day the flight bookings opened for the repatriation flight, then they will inform you to book ASQ and give them the information before they then give you the COE.

@Andrew ******
may I ask please what is ASQ? Thank you.

It’s like the bank won’t open an account for you without a visa and you can’t get a visa without a bank account.

Go to Krungsri headquarters if you want the best service. The first link i posted

dont get me going on that one! All the banks said I needed a work permit to open an account but the last thing I want is a job! I did manage it in the end with the help and support if a Thai friend.

@Kurt ******
yeah that I just try yesterday..

Went to 5 banks, my visa exspired on 30 June..
Stu **********
@Kurt ******
ya dont need a bank account to get a visa
Don ******
@Stu *********
you’re correct. Problem is, some people don’t push back when the bank asks for a visa. You have to push back. My bank told me I needed a visa to open an account, but I called BS and they moved past that request. Similarly, the US Embassy didn’t want to allow me an appt to get the affidavit most banks require. I had to complain to the embassy they aren’t doing their job, then I got an appointment. Yes, I know, I could have tried different banks until I found one that would not require the affidavit from the embassy...fuck that!

go to the Krungsri headquarters with your passport and rent agreement or proof of residence or whatever. Very straight forward there. A few other banks and branches knocked me back but they are your best bet Bank of Ayudhya PCL. - Ploen Chit Branch

So how do you show a bank account with Baht 400,000 or Baht 800,000 in your name if you don't need a bank account?

Catch 22, used to make me angry, but I got used to it here. Don't question everything anymore.
Stu **********
@Roy **********
the 400k-800k was not a requirement for me
