TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the possibility of obtaining another 30-day extension on their visa after re-entering Thailand on visa exemption. It was confirmed that they can receive one 30-day extension from an entry, whether it be a tourist visa or visa exemption. Regarding the TM30 form, opinions varied, with some suggesting it may be needed depending on the person's entry history and circumstances related to COVID-19.

You can get one 30 day extension off an entry (tourist or exempt).

Second part of question is hit and miss. Some posts from people saying they needed it, many didn’t. It appears that it may be down to entry history and/or covid extensions. Probably best to take it just in case.
