TLDR : Answer Summary
The typical fee charged by agents for arranging a 30-day extension in Thailand ranges from approximately 3,000 THB to 4,500 THB. Some users noted that doing it themselves costs about 1,900 THB, but they emphasized the convenience of using an agent, especially for those unfamiliar with the process or preferring to avoid potential long waits at immigration.

We do that for 3000 thb at Bangkok immigration :)

I think my agent charges about 4500 (they cover the 1900). For a border run to Cambodia, 3500. I suspect the the 4500 is because the Pattaya immigration office is a pain and everybody gets a piece of the pie. You can do it yourself for 1900 baht... However, DIY will likely result in a couple of

I paid 3000 THB to a concierge service in Pattaya. That included transportation in nine passenger van to and from a border run to Cambodia along with lunch. Pick up and return to hotel was hassle free. It did not include the 500 THB overstay fee I paid to immigration.

sounds like someone doesn’t have spare change to pay for a visa extension, why do it yourself if you’ve got the funds to get it all done for ya

following your logic why do it yourself and spend 1000 baht on a steak when you can pay someone else to buy the same steak for 5000 baht.

moral of the story is, what people wanna do with their money is up to them, yes money is often spent stupidly and could be used for a better cause but such is life

that’s not quite the ratio, actual price of extension and agent price seems around 1:2 respectively. If I had the spare change I would certainly pay someone to go grocery shopping for me at the ratio of 1:2 (pay the person 2000 to get me 1000 worth of groceries)

because it’s about value for money. There is no value in paying an agent if you qualify for a visa. DIY 2000 baht, agent 20,000+ baht. Your choice.

😂😂 20,000? Did you read the original post? I’ve done at least 30 30-day extensions. Yes if I’m in a place where there is little to no wait (Hua Hin office or Patong beach office for eg) I will do it myself but if in pattaya for eg, paying 3500 is completely worth three minutes compared to (have spent 4 hours there previously) what your time is worth. 20,000 is not and would not be quoted/paid I’m sure of that for a 30-day extension on entry stamp/tourist visa
