Hello, does anyone know the process of transferring DTV between passports? I have the visa in mine (Jakarta) and concerned with my passport filling up in the next year.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Transferring a DTV visa from one passport to another is not possible, and one must carry both passports while the visa remains valid. It is advisable to keep a copy of the old passport with the visa and entry stamps as a backup, although this is not recommended as a substitute. In some cases, recent experiences indicate that visas may be restamped in a new passport when both passports are presented.

They don't restamp old stamps in your new passport if it's a non O visa obtained from an embassy. I am familiar with the process of carrying around two passports, one with the old visa in it.

On the other hand, when you have an extension of stay, then they do transfer it to your new passport and also stamp the old ones in there too. Perhaps that's what you meant.

You can’t transfer the sticker visa. You’ll need to carry both passports for the life of the visa. You may get away with a copy of the old passport, visa and entry stamps but I wouldn’t chance it.

Nicholas yes definitely need to carry both passports once you get your new one and keep till your visa expires.

- When you get a new passport, won’t it have a new passport number and therefore not align with the number on the PDF?

At the DTV visa pdf document, the psasport number is included. Then in this situation I think better talk with Thailand Embassy. But my passport expires at 2032!

mine doesn’t expire until 2030, but worried about running out of pages. Initially had a passport for 2014-2024, but because of pages, had to get new ones in 2017 and 2020(month before COVID). So I don’t think my current passport will last 5 more years (maybe 2)
