Hello, I have a quick question on my non-b extension of stay. I resigned from my job and have a new job lined up in Bangkok. I am currently in Phitsanulok. Bangkok immigration told me to get a cancellation stamp on my extension so that they could process it down there. Can I walk into my current immigration office and ask them to cancel my extension with no paperwork?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about canceling their non-b extension of stay after resigning from a job and having a new job in Bangkok. They want to know if they can obtain a cancellation stamp at their current immigration office in Phitsanulok without additional paperwork. Comments indicate that to cancel the extension, they typically need to go to the original issuing office and provide proper employer documentation. If documentation is unavailable due to employer issues, they are advised to contact the Labour Department for assistance.
Surprisingly this happens more than we would like to see. An employee leaves a job (usually on bad terms) and the employer will not provide the documentation they are legally obligated to provide so a person can cancel their extension of stay.
The first place to start is to GO talk to the Labour Department to file a grievance, they will contact your employer and either the employer will provide the documents just to be done with it after they see you're serious OR the Labour Dept will try to set up mediation.
this is great advice. Thank you. I will first ask my current school again if they will give the documents I need to cancel my extension at immigration. If they refuse still I will go to the labor department and tell them my situation.
you cancel extensions of stays from the office that issued the extension with documentation from your employer. SO unless the current immigration office is where you got that extension no you can't cancel it there.
Jack Jak what do you mean a month? I’m going down to the immigration office today and telling them about my situation. Are there any specific questions I should ask them?
my employer is not giving me any documents to cancel my extension. Do they have to? They aren’t happy about my resignation. What do I do if they still refuse to give me paperwork. Yes, I will be canceling it where it was issued.
that is between you, your employer and the Labor Dispute Board division of the ministry of Labor if your employer doesn't give the termination documentation. I don't know what you could do about it. Post on a f/b page related to where you live in thailand and ask your question. You can't be the only foreigner in the country this has happened to
