Hi all. My current teaching contract ends October 31. I understand that the school will cancel my work permit. I also understand that AFTER that I need to go to Immigration and cancel my Non-B Visa. Is that all correct, please? After the school cancels my work permit, how long do I have to leave the country?
One of the reasons I'm asking here is that the school's communication with teachers is abysmal / non-existent
My Non-B is the extension and is valid until March 2020
Thanks in advance for any links / advice you can give.
TLDR : Answer Summary
After your teaching contract ends on October 31, you will need to cancel your work permit through your school as they are responsible for this action. Subsequently, you must go to Immigration to cancel your Non-B visa. It's critical to note that after canceling your visa at Immigration, you typically have 24 hours to leave Thailand. If you cancel your visa at midday on October 31, you should be able to stay until midday November 1 before you need to exit the country. Always ensure to align with your employer regarding your last working day and exit date to avoid any issues with overstay.
