TDAC - OK so my reading of it is that from May 1st you must submit an online TDAC, this can be done no sooner than three days before arrival but can be done any time within 3 days of arrival, so you could literally get off the plane in Thailand and make your submission before you get to passport control / immigration. As long as you get your email confirmation of TDAC before you get in front of the IO you are good to go? Is that the correct interpretation of it? TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
From May 1st, travelers to Thailand are required to submit an online TDAC (Travel Document Adherence Confirmation) no sooner than three days before their arrival and can do so up until the moment they arrive. It is advisable to complete this submission before reaching passport control to avoid potential delays at the airport. Email confirmation of the TDAC should be secured beforehand to ensure compliance with immigration rules.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be tdac.in.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

Do it in your departure airport. You are bound to have time on your hands.

@Cha****
yep you are correct

I entered Thailand on April 23.

I had the TDAC printed out at home.

I told the immigration officer,I just want to try if it worked already.

I got a thumbs up,for making the TM 6. He pointed out,it would be very busy at immigration after May 1. They expect alot of travellers who don't register

imagine the land borders….. Cambodia introduced it’s own similar system last year but with two exceptions. You can fill in a paper form at the land border and at the airport you can do it on a tablet

@Jordan ****
,yes. I believe that is,what they plan to do on the airport too in Thailand.

That was what the immigration officer told me

You know how email works. Sometimes it’s delayed. I wouldn’t take the chance.

You need to always be cautious. Thinking you'd get the email confirmation almost immediately is presumptuous. Always make provision for things to cock up.

Yes you can do it upon arrival, but I would try and get it done prior. There is a chance that kiosks set up to help will be busy with everyone else who forgot, didn’t know, or procrastinated and the last thing you want is another queue to join!

Sure you could use the airports wifi on your own device, but do you really want to risk a technical issue at that crucial moment?!

Chances are that at some point you will be sitting in an airport somewhere else in the world, waiting to board your flight to Thailand. Use that time as an opportunity to get the paperwork sorted if you haven’t done so already.

Just made a test, entered an imagined flight dated 24 April. Got the e-mail with QR code almost immediately after pressing enter. Just wondering if this application will give a 'no-show' warning when trying to enter next real trip by the end of May

@Poul *********
you committed fraud against the Thai government boy

@Jack *******
fraud over the web is committed where the alleged perpetrator is based , therefore the home country jurisdiction would apply. I’m not sure where Paul is but if it is UK then for a fraud there has to be a deliberate misrepresentation that the other party ( the Thai government ) relied upon , paul have to intend that they rely on that and there has to be some gain by Paul or some loss to the intended other party.

I cannot therefore see that there has been a fraud based on UK law but as I said the legal jurisdiction to apply would be the one the application is made from.

So my view for what it’s worth , not a fraud and Jack please stop calling Paul “boy” it comes across as offensive and makes you look like a bully which I’m sure you are not.

Oh and by the way before you disagree and call me a “stupid boy” I’m 59 years old a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales with 40 plus years of legal experience.

a quick google search showed this: If you submit a Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) but choose not to travel to Thailand, there are no consequences. The TDAC is a mandatory online registration for foreign travelers entering Thailand, and it does not replace a visa or other permits. You can submit the TDAC at any time before your intended arrival date, and it is not linked to your departure plans. If you submit the TDAC but don't travel, it's simply a record that you intended to enter Thailand, but you didn't, and there are no penalties or consequences for this.

@Poul *********
you never intended to enter Thailand at all though. This is fraud against the Kingdom of Thailand boy
Robert ********
@Jack *******
Define fraud.

And you will understand that there can’t be fraud in filling a form and then not using it.
Poul **********
@Jack *******
but it says if you want to change any of the mandatory fields, you must enter a new application ?

@Poul *********
Just keep a link to this post handy so you can prove you were only testing it out. It’s a brand new system and there WILL be glitches.
Michael ********
Yes Singapore and Malaysia you get your confirmation within ten minutes. But Thailand who knows
Abey *********

@Abey ********
