I know certificate of residency has been discussed here before. However, I would like to start a thread of people's recent reports of acquiring one. I tried in Jan 2025 at Nakhon Pathom Immigration and was told no certificates for DTV holders.
For people who received one recently, please share which office you applied, what documents were needed, and a summery of the overall process.
Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
This discussion outlines recent experiences of expats trying to obtain a certificate of residency in Thailand, particularly focusing on issues faced by DTV visa holders. Some members reported successful acquisition of the certificate in Chiang Rai and Jomtien with a few specific documents, while others in Nakhon Pathom faced refusals. Comments include details on required documentation like TM30 and leases, and a query about eligibility for tourists.
At the Chiang Rai office, I took copies of my TM30, passport bio page & stamp, visa, lease agreement, and completed the COR request form. I was given a ticket to wait 7 days, and when I went back it was given to me with no issue. This was two months ago.
You'll usually need passport and tm-30 plus supporting documents for the intended purpose of the residency certificate. Like your booked appointment for license test or the paperwork for a vehicle purchase or sale etc.
Anonymous participant 934 Depends on the office the requirements. Bangkok did not issue them until a 90 day report completed but I believe they have relented on that now. Jomtien can get them on Visa Exempt/ Tourist Visa.
I know Chiang Mai issues them but do not know what documents required.Speaking to a DTV holder taking bike test last week and saw him getting license Monday. Pretty sure it is TM30 and passport only though.
Thinking further - Someone did it for me and all they had was TM30 and my passport. If you have completed a TDAC they might ask for that now but double check. They ask for fo a print out for extensions etc.
